Cyprus is a beautiful Mediterranean island and a popular holiday destination
All summer long the beaches and byways are busy as the hotels fill up and the tourists hit the beach, noisily determined to enjoy the sun. Happily, by late September, people start going home, the beaches empty and the weather cools.
For many it’s merely the off season, but for some of us it’s the season for walks, cool mornings, fresh sea air, and rain. It’s an ideal time to go for long strolls and visit the cats that live on the coastal path that stretches between from just beyond Pernera’s Fig Tree Bay and Ayios Nicolaos’ fishing harbour.
The photographs in this book are from the last four years or so, and show costal Cyprus at its peaceful best at a time of year when both we and the cats can venture out to enjoy the scenery along the costal path in peace.

Almost everyone thinks they know something about Ayia Napa, but here is the Cyprus that happens when almost everyone has gone home.
